The Audi A6 models are for people who are after the premium taste of technological high-life. Our testing model was an A6 3.0 T, with the sporty 19-inch wheels, trimmed with chrome and xenon headlamps.

The latest update on the A6 styling a wide, low stance, and a cleverly dynamic sculpting vehicle. The new 2009 Audi A6 looks cybernetic from different angles and that looks very appealing.

The interior comes with navigation system, Bluetooth, memory seats, climate control, Bose stereo system and auto dimming side mirrors were some of the features. The interior is quiet, comfortable, relaxing for short and long trips.

The build quality of this vehicle is excellent, the fit and finish is the best with the best materials. We cannot complaint.

The Audi A6 power horse engine
The 2009 Audi's A6 3.0T comes with the cutting-edge, high output V6 engine that feels like a V8 at full power.

The efficient yet small V6 engine give good fuel economy for cruising, next to a powerful kick whenever the driver have the need for speed. The turbocharged four-cylinder engine tends to give better highway mileage than the V6 even though both engines are the same in term of power output.

The turbocharged or the supercharged only work when it is necessary. These translate to the driver to have all the power and performance without fuel-mileage penalty.

To cut back on the fuel consumption, Audi uses the integrated supercharged with direct-injection technology to increase power. When driving slowly or on cruise you will notice the 3-litre V6. Step on it and the A6 3.0T will begin to feel like a V8 at full power.

Powerful beauty
The torque is very impressive, it will push your heads to the seats right from the idle even when the supercharged is hardly on. The horsepower is rated at 300 horsepower. From our experience, this V6 300 horsepower Audi A6 with the new supercharged engine seems to drive better than the 4.2 litre, 350 horsepower V8 engine.

There is one little negative, the supercharged make a special noise. It sounded like a siren in the proportion to the engine speed. Even though, the engineers at Audi have worked very hard to neutralize the added noise.

The pull is somewhat similar to the BMW's engine with twin turbo inline 6-cylinder, however the Audi A6 supercharged mill belts out sharper with more instant throttle response. In addition, a lot of us also find the Audi A6 supercharged engine to be more pleasant to listen.

The Mileage
Here is a way to look at the supercharge engine. The supercharge engine is like a $5 dollars bottle of plain water in your hotel room, you don't need to drink it but if you want to or if you are thirsty enough you will have to pay for it.

Without having to use the boost, the mileage should be around 10.5L / 100km on high-grade fuel. On our test model, the fuel consumption never passed 12L / 100 km with supercharged.

With that kind of fuel consumption, the Audi A6 fuel economy is relatively reasonable when comparing the fuel consumption on the V8 was needed for this kind of performance some time ago. Maybe next time the V8 will be on Audi's supercharged to do list.

The exterior style of the 2009 Audi A4 Avant has come a long way from the wagon back in the 70’s with the wooden frame. This wagon look a bit sporty and look extremely assertive.

The word sporty and wagon doesn’t always go together a lot of the time, but with the new design of the 2009 Audi A4 it is quite true from our perspective. The headlight clusters look shape, the front grill looks sleeker and the sloping hood enhances the design and the aerodynamics. Also add the daytime LED lightings and you get yourself a very aggressive looking car.

However, the back hatch have that wagon body stlye look to it. With that said the 2009 Audi A4 rear hatch with the elegant roofline and curves give a great overall looking wagon than any other wagon in the market.

2009 Audi A4 Interior

There is a lot of room, particularly for the front passengers. But when you first look at the spec, you will soon understand that the cargo space is not that large as you would expect. The cargo space on the 2009 Audi A4 is smaller than the 3-series Touring’s from German rival BMW.

The back seats passengers will have lots of leg room and comfortable seats, which explain the small cargo capacity. The Audi A4 Avant designers care more about the passengers than the cargo capacity, a bit strange for a wagon.

It is clear that there are lots of accessories and other high-tech feathures. Some are easy and cool, while others may need a little practice, something like the Audi’s Multimedia Interface (MMI). Also, the finish quality of the interior look amazing from all angle.

While driving, if the computer sense any wheel slippage, the car will automatically power transfer from 90% to the front to a 50/50 split or if needed the car will put all the power to the rear. Each wheel is individually control by the computer working with the braking system and the ABS sensors.

The 2009 Audi A3 Sportback 2.0 TFSI comes with other noticeable upgrade like the twin clutch automatic. Due to the efficiencies for both manufacturer and the consumers these type of transmission are beginning to become a common thing. Most people would look at this type of transmission as a performance thing. Well, that will depends on how you use it.

If you like to be sporty, you can go in the sport mode there is the paddle shifter on the steering wheel to get the shifts at the rpm you want. Also, the ride quality for the 2009 Audi A3 Sportback will depends a little on the sport suspension with stiffer springs, shocks and sway. You can actually feel the difference when driving in the sport mode and the normal mode.

If you prefer to do the all the work, you can leave the 2009 Audi A3 Sportback in normal mode. In normal mode the computer will automatically calculate the shift depending on the speed, throttle position and the gear the car is in.

The interior for the 2009 Audi A3 Sportback came with top of the line S Line trim. The controls on the dashboard and switches are clearly visible and easy to access. Once you are used to the Audi’s paddle shift system it was as easy as driving any other car.

The front seats are comfortable and supportive for any hard turns. While in the driver’s seat, the large dead pedal on the floor was enough to accommodate pretty much anyone.

However, the back seats are not that so comfortable. The 2009 Audi A3 Sportback is a small car and the space and seating at the back are limited. The knee and leg room will depend on the benevolence of the people sitting at the front. The head and hip room are large for two adult passengers, but add a XL sized adult into the back seat will make it a tight fit.

To increase the cargo space the back seats fold down, but the seats doesn’t fold completely flat. We find that it is easier to place groceries to stack at the back and place the remainder items on the back seats without having it fold down.

For the very first generation of the TSX, it was actually sold as Honda Accord in Europe. The only difference is the front grille but overall it was a very beautiful vehicle. However, the silhouette look a little boxy and the wheels look a bit too big for the size of the vehicle. Obviously, Acura had made a big move with the TSX second generation, but the result is still uncertain.

As you can expect from Honda/Acura products, the interior is excellent with great style, ergonomics, fit and finish. The material on the dashboard look quite busy but it still looks simple enough to use. There are lots of toys and gadgets including the GPS-based navigation, review camera (Technology TSX), and the satellite radio. It can be quit over whelming when you first sit inside, but it becomes intuitive after a few hours reading the TSX manual and some time behind the wheel. The build quality in this 2009 Acura TSX is excellent, as you would expect from Acura and that create a sense of style and quality.

For a tall person, getting inside the vehicle is not an easy job. The roofline is rather low and the limited head space can make you easily hit your head on the door frame. It can be uncomfortable for longer drives because the front seats lack good thigh support. On the other hand, the design, visual, comfortable suspension and the steering wheel provide a good grip. Overall the 2009 Acura TSX riding experience feel a bit strange because Acura typically produce sport oriented sedans with firm riding experience.

2009 Acura TSX’s engine
The first generation of the TSX comes with 205 horsepower and the second generation is now at 201 horsepower. It is unheard of in the auto industry where the newer model has less horsepower, although the drop in horsepower is by a very little amount.

The 2009 Acura TSX comes with a very reliable 2.4L, 4 cylinder i-VTEC engine. This is a great engine which performs very efficiently. The power to fuel economy ratio is commendable despite the loss of some pony and some weight gain. On average, the low revs result in 8.9 liters per 100 kilometers. Also, the torque has been increased from 164 to 172 pounds-feet.

The 2009 Acura TSX comes with the 5-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. This enhances the vehicle’s driving experience and giving it more sporty and more aggressive driving experience.

The experience feels a little bit artificial when it comes to the steering because it feels overly assisted. However, in spite of the feelings of heaviness in the corners and average handling the new 2009 Acura TSX is fairy a fun car to drive.

Let’s talk about the brakes, it perform as average in most situation. Considering the 2009 Acura TSX had put on some weight, 50-90 kilos (depending on the trim level), the 2009 Acura TSX is capable to stop and slow down without any issue.

Other rivals are Volkswagen Passat 2.0T ($29,975), Volvo S40 ($31,495), and Saab 9-3 ($35,950). Also other luxury models are Mercedes-Benz C-Class ($35,800), BMW 3-Series ($35,900), Audi A4 ($35,350) and Lexus IS ($31,900).

Conclusion
The 2009 Acura TSX comes with high level of quality and good overall performance. Although, some potential buyers might get put off with the exterior design. The driving dynamics also is not something that lives up with Acura’s standard compare to other Acura vehicles we have tested in the past. With all that said, if you are looking for a European-Accord kind of vehicle, then the 2009 Acura TSX provides great value.

The 2009 Acura RDX is a compact SUV and was redesign by the designers from Acura. The front looks very modern with highly complicated design with no orphan likes throughout the body. Although the front is over hanging a bit too long for any off road driving and the side profiles look sporty and well balance.

The 2009 Acura RDX comes with an 18-inche wheels with low ground clearance. The back end doesn’t quite look as well integrated to the rest of the body.

Great Functionality
The most amazing thing about all of Honda and Acura vehicles are the quality in their interiors. That is no exception with the 2009 RDX. The design, material and finish are outstanding. But some might find it over whelming when it comes to the driver sit which is filled with controls and buttons.

However, the dashboard still simple and intuitive to use. The improvement of the control knobs and the improve bilingual voice recognition work quite well compare to the previous models.

The audio control is a tad too low but the secondly audio controls on the steering wheel solve that problem. The configuration of the controls, buttons are almost perfect and all the back lighting looks amazing at night.

The 2009 Acura RDX sites fairly low to the ground which help give you easier access to the cabin. The driving position fit very well and the seats provide good side support.

The seating of the RDX will fit 4 adults with a good amount of space, but the fifth person need to lose some weight. The rear three-quarter view and the rearward visibility are average. The rear window is a bit tiny, the D-pillars are quite wide and the rear side glass is not really useful. On the other hand, the cargo space is generously sized, but don't expect to move your furniture with it.

Some problems with the total weight of 2009 RDX
The 2009 Acura RDX is weighing in at 3, 95 lbs (1,792 Kilos), which makes it fairly heavy and it is not surprising it takes more energy to accelerate and wear down much harder on the brakes.

Going from 0 to 100km/h takes 8 seconds with its 240 horsepower, 4 cylinder turbocharged engine and 260 pounds-feet of torque. The turbo charge can be notice but the overall performance is not that great, only average. While eating fuel at 11.3 liters per 100 kilometers.

Although the 2009 Acura RDX are design for maximum fuel efficiency. The automactic transmission doesn’t come with the 6th gear, but there is paddle shifter on the steering wheel which allows you to have a nice sporty feel.

The suspension give great smooth ride experience and the steering feels directly connected to the wheels for driving on the highways, streets and country roads.

Conclusion
The new 2009 Acura RDX is a very solid SUV. However, the total weight of the vehicle and the fuel efficient put a damper on the overall driving experience and performance. There are other vehicles that are more fuel efficient and have more power.

There is one thing for sure; some people don’t care about which car has the best fuel economy. Some people are more interested only in these big premium sport utility cars like the Lexus RX, BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz M-Class. However, the Acura MDX is currently the most popular in this class because the smooth and comfortable ride.

Love it or hate it!
The 2009 Acura MDX is in its second generation and it stands out from the crowd with its design and control. The distinctive look by Acura with the bold metallic grille that looks like a triangular tooth which can also be found in the RL, TL and the TSX.

The powerful engine
The 2009 Acura MDX comes with a powerful 3.7-litre V6 engine. Producing 300 horsepower with enough torque to make any other V8 engines ashamed. The fuel economy for this MDX is not desirable for anyone wanting to save money on gas, we test drive it and found the average gas consumption is about 15 liters per 100 kilometers.

The MDX comes with 5-speed automatic transmission with Sport Shift manual mode which provides super quick shifts. There is no paddle for shifters on the steering wheel but there is a console mounted gear selector when using the manual mode.

Lots of interior space
The 2009 Acura MDX comes with seven passengers. Here are some of the features: navigation system with bilingual voice recognition and a rearview camera, tri zone automatic climate control, HandsFreeLink Bluetooth for wireless devices, air-filtration system, a 10 speaker premium sound system and many more.

The driver gets a big comfortable sized seat with 10-way power-adjustable seat including adjustable lumbar support and 2 position memory. On the other side, the passenger gets an 8-way power-adjustable seat with tons of features. The leather color is available in Ebony, Parchment and Taupe.

By using composite seals inside the door panels, the noise reduction inside the MDX is drastically reduced. This gave the MDX Lexus-like quiet and atmosphere while on the road.

Acura claims that their 2009 MDX is a “4+3” vehicle, which means it can fit comfortably 4 adults: two in the front and two in the second row. The three additional seating are also available in the third row.

The new 2009 Acura TL is possibly the most striking looking sedan by Acura. However, the grille in the front of the car is larger than the new TSX and it is somewhat questionable.

From our survey, most people also agree that the TL is a superb car, but what is it with the front grille? The rest of the TL is stylish with multiple ridges and angles which give an impeccable and sleek shape that look classy.

Like a stealth plane
A stealth aircraft is the inspiration for the new design of the TL, not only for the exterior but also the interior as well. This sporty and driver oriented cockpit features a tight steering wheel which offers a good grip along with highly readable and beautiful design instrument panel.

Throughout the dashboard, cabin, center stack, door panels and roof. There are numerous of buttons and control which you can expect from most of other Honda products. During the night, the backlighting and the clear identification make it very cool looking. When talking about ergonomics, the only defect we notice is the climate and the radio controls. This caused us to made some mistakes and mix up over those two controls.

We love the front seats, it does a super job at wrapping your entire body and it gives great support. The rear passenger seats have lots of legs room, but the back seats do not fold forward to increase the storage space.

Not yet a fighter jet
The new redesign of the TL had lost some of its thrilling quality. The steering is a bit heavier with more responsive feel when making the corners, however the so called premium sports sedan need more kick to it.

The 2009 Acura TL is more upscale than the previous models, it has put on more weight and for that reason it loses some of its sportiness. Overall the new 2009 TL offers superior driving dynamics.

The 3.5 liter V6 can produce 280 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque. With an average fuel economy at under 10 L/100 km.

Conclusion
The new redesign 2009 Acura TL is a very pleasing sedan. The design is collectively approved, except for that grille in front of the car. Overall, the 2009 Acura TL is worth a test drive.
